New Litterpickers online for Marine Conservation Society

The Marine Conservation Society (MCS) hopes that a strengthened working partnership with Helping Hand Environmental, the UK’s #1 Litter Clearance Hands Tools Company, will be a success as the environmental charity announces an exciting development to their relationship – an online webshop selling MCS litterpickers!

The Helping Hand Company, based in Ledbury, Herefordshire has become a Corporate Silver Level Supporter and the ‘Equipment Partner of Choice’ to MCS extending their support for the charity’s work.

The new working partnership for 2018 sees litter pickers available in both adult and children’s sizes which will be used by volunteers taking part in beach clean-up campaigns such as The Great British Beach Clean.

Volunteers can also buy the new litter pickers as part of the MCS Online Shop in association with Helping Hand Environmental. The scheme enables volunteers, community groups, businesses and schools to purchase discounted equipment, as well as raising funds for MCS as percentage of every order is donation back to the charity.

Katherine Sharp, Partnership Manager, at Marine Conservation Society said: “Over the last eight years, we have had a brilliant working relationship with The Helping Hand Company. They have supported us with donations from the sale of its litter clearance hand tools as well as practical support and help out on clean-up events”.

Lindsay Richmond, Communities Manager at The Helping Hand Company added: We are delighted to announce another partnership year with Marine Conservation Society, a joining together of two organisations who share principle values in protecting our environment for the future through people.

The community support program is so much more than just giving money. For 2018 we have a full packed calendar, getting our hands dirty, being actively involved with beach clean initiatives across the UK – volunteering, fundraising and donating to the charity. We are committed to helping Marine Conservation Society – together we will make a difference”.
