The Helping Hand Company are proud to announce that we will be working in partnership with Ledbury Rugby Football Club to support the existing community groups that use the facilities, and help increase these offerings to a wider array of local clubs.
Last month we visited the club to discuss the partnership and meet club members. HH team members Mitch and Leah took part in a friendly game of Pétanque at the club’s brand new accessible court, going up against members of the Walk & Talk group.
The Helping Hand Company will be supporting with:
A wheelchair rugby awareness day, to be launched in the coming months.
A litter awareness day at the rugby club, where local litter picking groups can gather with friends, family, and community members.
Funding for the rugby club’s HAF children’s club, allowing for more children to take part in the events hosted at the club, which provide activities and food for children in the local community.
Improving disabled accessibility within the club, and educating staff and volunteers in ways to better support people with disabilities.
And much more! Current community groups hosted at the rugby club include: choirs, quilters, walkers, walking rugby, walking netball, and a fully accessible Pétanque court.
We are thrilled to be able to offer this support to our local community, and we look forward to growing this partnership over the coming months and years.
