In the Vale of Glamorgan, Street Cleansing teams have implemented a new approach to commercial litter picking around the Welsh county.
Street Boss has replaced traditional bulky double barrows – to support the council’s operatives daily cleansing routes. Street Boss, the commercial litter segregation cart is 50% lighter and easier to push; especially in hilly areas.
- Operatives routes includes village town centres, hilly terrains and rural roads.
- The local authority purchased 6 Street Boss litter picking carts to equip their operatives with a one stop mobile cleansing for all daily cleansing tasks.
- The system allows operatives to quickly and efficiently clear on street litter in areas highly populated by seagulls preventing litter being scattered across pavements.
“I can operate the Street Boss one handed and easily manoeuvre between parked cars and up and down kerbs; it really can go anywhere. The Street Boss has made my job so much quicker and easier than having to push a traditional heavier barrow”.
