We’re making charity donations easier with our new Charity Donation page. Introduced alongside the launch of the Great British Spring Clean, our charity page allows you to donate, whether you’re shopping with Helping Hand or not.
At Helping Hand, we understand the huge impact that discarded litter can have on the environment and animals. This is why we’ve chosen to support The Wildlife Trusts, Cats Protection, Dogs Trust, and National Trust. These charities aim to protect our wildlife, pets, and natural environments here in the UK, and supporting them is another way we can contribute to a better country.
We’re hopeful that this is just the beginning. Eventually, we aim to introduce more charities for you to support, and even develop partnerships with charities for future campaigns.
You can donate any amount from 50p to £50. Click the links below to donate.
Here’s a quick introduction to the charities for those of you who may be unfamiliar.
The Wildlife Trusts aim to save wildlife and wild places, and increase people’s awareness and understanding of the natural world. Working with schools, universities, landowners, fishermen, local authorities, environmental organisations, and businesses, the Trusts ambition is to ensure that 30% of the UK’s land and seas are “connected and protected for nature” by 2030.
Cats Protection is “a movement of people championing the welfare of cats”. With a mission to ensure all cats, whether in the care of the charity, owned as pets, or feral, are treated correctly and live the best lives they can.
Dogs Trust provides care, advice, and rehoming services for dogs across the UK. They are the UK’s leading dog welfare charity, and have been working to improve dogs’ lives since the 1800s!
National Trust is Europe’s largest conservation charity. The Trust looks after historical sites and areas of natural beauty, maintaining the habitats of our wildlife including woodlands, coastlines, and historic buildings, gardens, and parks.
